Telos Magazine has just released its latest issue, featuring a compelling collection of essays on war, religion, and culture in the Levant. The cover showcases one of my hybrid artworks, created at the intersection of visual reflection and lived experience.

This edition explores urgent and often entangled questions: How do faith and violence coexist in fractured societies? What cultural narratives persist or evolve amidst destruction? Contributors engage these themes with depth and clarity, offering perspectives shaped by theology, political analysis, and personal conviction.

We believe it is essential to revisit and rethink the role of religion and culture in the context of ongoing conflict, wars, occupation, gen***, … as acts of intellectual and moral responsibility. The Levant, a region that includes Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, Jordan, and Iraq, continues to bear the weight of geopolitical rivalries, sectarian divides, and cultural erasure. To speak of it honestly is to resist forgetting. To write, to create, to question – these remain our tools of resilience.
