We extend our heartfelt thanks to Dar al-Kalima University and CAFCAW for bringing together a remarkable group of academics and non-academics in Cyprus for the round table on Religion, Culture, and the Body. A special thanks to all the participants for accepting our invitation and for their insightful talks and discussions. It was an honor organizing this round table.
Key findings highlighted the complexities of addressing religion, culture, and the body in the SWANA region, emphasizing the need for critical thinking, freedom of expression, and the protection of human rights. Recommendations included promoting critical thinking in education, using art and media for awareness, and fostering inclusive, transnational collaborations. Together, we are paving the way for meaningful change.
